Privacy Policy
Snapshots Now · Effective October 13, 2026
Snapshots Now is operated by Certo Partners LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Snapshots Now app and website collect, how we use it, who it goes to, and the choices you have. Questions: support@certopartners.com.
Information we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive an account identifier from them. From Google we also receive your name and email address. From Apple we request neither. If you sign in with Apple we keep a token from Apple solely so we can revoke your Apple sign-in when you delete your account.
- Profile. The display name and profile photo you choose to add.
- Your content. The events you create and everything in them: photos, videos, voice recordings you make for reels, music you upload, and the text you write or have the AI write (names, dates, places, notes, recaps, captions, newsletters and scrapbooks).
- Location. Where a photo was taken, read from the photo itself; when you take a photo in the app, your phone's location at that moment; and places you pin. We store these points with the event's days to place your photos on the event map. Photos are re-saved by the app before upload. Videos are stored exactly as recorded, including any location information your camera saved inside the video file.
- People you share with. Names and email addresses you add for followers, and the names guests enter when they add photos to your event.
- Purchases. Your subscription's store transaction reference, product, expiry and status. We never receive your card or payment details; Apple and Google handle payment.
- Usage records. Monthly counts of AI requests and reels (for your plan's allowance), records of each AI request's size and estimated cost, and when you last used the app.
- Feedback. Anything you send through Send feedback, any screenshots you attach, and the app version and operating system it was sent from.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard request information (such as IP address) to deliver the service, protect it from abuse and limit repeated sign-in or PIN attempts. We do not store IP addresses in our own database.
Guests who open a shared link in a browser receive a cookie that keeps them signed in to that one event (or that one group, for followers) for up to 90 days. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run the service: store and show your events, sort photos into days, make maps, reels, newsletters and scrapbooks, and deliver what you share.
- To provide the AI features you ask for (see below).
- To check your subscription and apply your plan's limits.
- To send email that you trigger, such as telling your followers about an event or sending a newsletter.
- To answer feedback and support requests, and to keep the service secure and working.
We do not use your content for advertising, we do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use your photos or writing to train AI models.
AI features
When you use an AI feature, we send the AI provider only what that feature needs. Writing a day recap sends up to a few reduced-size photos from that day with its name, date, place and your notes. "Let AI pick" sends small thumbnails of the photos it chooses from, including, if you start it from your camera roll, photos you haven't uploaded yet. Summaries, posts, newsletters, scrapbooks, narration and Ask send text from your events. Location coordinates and videos are never sent to an AI provider. Narrated reels send the narration script to a text-to-speech provider.
Service providers
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide the service:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and file storage for everything above.
- Google (Gemini API) and Anthropic (Claude API): the AI writing and photo features.
- OpenAI: the AI narrator voice for reels.
- Resend: delivering the emails you send to followers.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, subscription purchases, and on your phone, maps and place search.
- Openverse: the words you type when searching for openly licensed music.
- Expo: delivering app updates.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
What other people can see
Your events are private by default. Other people see an event only through something you share:
- Upload links (with or without a PIN) let people view the event's photos, videos, places and recaps, and add their own photos. Guests can remove only what they added.
- Album links let anyone holding the link view the photos, videos, places, recaps, map and scrapbook.
- Groups let followers see the events you publish to that group, with your display name and profile photo.
- Sent newsletters can be opened by anyone who has the newsletter's link.
Your notes, raw location points and AI instructions are never shown through any of these. Making new links for an event signs everyone out of the old ones, and you can remove followers or unpublish at any time. Remember that people can save or forward whatever you show them.
How long we keep it
- Your content is kept while your account exists. Events you move to the trash stay there until you delete them forever.
- Photos, videos and reels you remove are kept for 30 days, then deleted.
- Nightly backups of event details (text and settings, not photos) are kept for 90 days.
- Deleting your account (Account → Delete in the app) closes it immediately, revokes your Apple sign-in if you used it, and deletes your events, photos, videos, reels, backups, music, groups, followers, newsletters, feedback, profile and subscription records. We keep only a minimal record that an account existed (an internal identifier and its dates), AI cost records with your identity removed, and records of actions our staff took on your account.
Followers can leave a group or unsubscribe from its emails using the link in every message.
Security
All connections to the service use HTTPS. Your sign-in on your phone is kept in the device's secure storage and is not included in device backups. Shared links are long random tokens, and an optional PIN adds a second check with lockout after repeated wrong attempts. Our staff use a separate, access-controlled console, can see account emails, names, feedback and usage, and do not browse your photos.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete anything in your events, or delete your whole account, from the app.
- Allow or deny camera, microphone, photo and location access in your phone's settings; the app works without location.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@certopartners.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK or California) you may have further rights; we honor them and do not discriminate against anyone for using them.
Children
Snapshots Now is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We and our providers process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than where you live.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect.
